West Wales Paint Stripping (WWPS) Terms & Conditions

Although every care is taken during the paint stripping process, customers should be aware of the following points: -

Some distortion or warping may occur.

Any existing defects are likely to deteriorate further.

Some modern paints and varnishes are difficult to remove; especially polyurethane and acrylic finishes.

Stripping may reveal areas of scorching from prior stripping with a blow lamp. It may reveal other defects that have not been visible when in a paint finish.

Filler products such as polyfilla, decorators caulk and similar will not be removed by the stripping process.

We cannot be certain to remove stains or water based products.

Paint stripping is carried out at the customers risk, WWPS will not accept liability for damage caused during the stripping process, including damage to glass, although every care is taken throughout the process to avoid such damage. WWPS demands that when our operatives are on your premises, insuring them against any damage sustained to goods, property or persons will be at customers own cost.

Any article left after agreed collection date is at owner's risks and may be recycled and removed from site.

Please ensure the following:

• Items need to be taken off/dismantled and put in the nearest location to where the driver can park and collect.

• All stickers, tapes, adhesives need to be removed.* Paint will not be removed from beneath them unless they are removed.

• All panels and the retaining pins need to be removed* Paint will not be removed from beneath them unless they are removed.

• All nails and screws should be removed.* Not essential but they may stain the item(s) if grease oil or rust is present.

• All locks, handles, push-plates should be removed.* 

• Hinges can be left on if required.

 * We can remove these items for you but there will be a charge to do so.

If you send your item(s) without removing the furniture and without requesting us to remove them we will dip the item(s) as we receive them.
